Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (PS5) - Sky-High Ambition Meets Some Turbulence in This Stunning Sim

Thanks for the replies! I guess my question should have been better phrased, as in: 'Is this the same kind of code in a box fiasco like Indiana Jones etc., or do we actually get the game on the disc?'.
But now I see this does not apply to this particular title anyway - I understand you get the same amount of 'game' on the disc as if you downloaded the digital version.

Re: Industry Body Representing Publishers Like PlayStation Says Stop Killing Games' Proposals Would Be 'Prohibitively Expensive'

Realistically thinking, I am afraid what may be achieved is an obligation for publishers to add a few extra lines of text in the terms of service that no one ever reads warning that they have a right to take the servers offline at any time they deem appropriate without prior warning?
A whole lot more may be achieved if we all voted with our wallets: just stop buying online only games with no single player offline mode!

Re: Critical Darling Alan Wake 2's Sales Seem Soft, But There's More to the Story

No physical, no buy for me, ever again. I made this decision when I moved from the UK to Cyprus (while UK was still in the EU) and immediately lost access to all my digital music collection on Amazon, which I had built over 10 years...
For all like minded souls here, might be a good idea to actually communicate your decision to Remedy. A simple, polite email just to let them know that you will only buy this game if it releases on disc. It is one thing estimating potentially lost sales based on projections, and another thing having evidence that you could get x number of additional sales if you put the game on a darn disc!
