It Takes Two is a Game Of The Year Award winning game.
And Aliens: Dark Descent and Temtem seem pretty well regarded.
What more do you want? A tripple A game and two more niche ones. For me this is way better than months with Sports games. Or months with games that are released day one on PS Plus because they probably aren’t that good. (Looking at you Foamstars / Quidditch)
@DennisReynolds True, but I don’t think that will ever happen. While he is independent from Nintendo, he has such deep ties with the company that I don’t ever see him leaving them behind. Nintendo also really cares about Sakurai. He mentioned in his last video on his YouTube channel, that Nintendo gave him almost unlimited permission to use internal assets and talk about development on Nintendo games. You don’t usually see that.
Despite being independent for about 20 years, if I remember correctly he has only developed for Nintendo Consoles. And I don’t think that will change.
I think the review-score perfectly encapsulates Concord.
It’s good! It just isn’t good enough! It isn’t original enough and doesn’t have enough personality to stand out amongst other hero shooters. Many of them being Free to Play instead of an upfront cost.
And while i personally prefer having an upfront cost, rather then micro-transactions. There is a reason many online multiplayer games do use micro-transactions: When the gameplay is the main hook of a game, you want as many people to try it. The $40 price means only people who are already sold on the game will play it. And Sony spectacularly failed to convince people to buy it.
Why should I play this? What sets it apart from Overwatch? It just isn’t interesting enough. It doesn’t differentiate itself enough from other Hero-Shooters. That’s its problem.
This would be my first DragonAge game if I decide to buy it. I don’t really care, if I control the other party members or not. As long as the gameplay is fun, I’m happy.
To everyone who is saying: „Money isn’t real, just put it on the credit card.“
You must be living a very comfortable life or are financially irresponsible. The PS5s price (especially in Europe) makes it a luxury product. 550€ is a lot of money for a machine that can only play games. And I would argue it makes it too expensive for non hardcore gamers.
The PS4 at 300€ was a great deal for people who occasionally wanted to play FIFA or Fortnite. They won’t get the PS5 at it‘s current price. And they’ll lose even more incentive to do so if Sony continues to release their exclusive games also on PC.
No Eye-Tracking and HDR. That sucks. This means PSVR2 will never be able to live up to its full potential on PC.
Granted, games would need to implement support for these features. But Sony is ahead of the competition in this regard . I think the eye-tracked rendering and HDR would have driven many PC VR enthusiasts to buy a >$500 Product even if they didn’t have a PS5.
Just want to say, this is an extremely good value physical edition! You’re getting the game, the soundtrack, the poster, and more for only $10 dollars more then the base game!
If I hadn’t already bought the game, I definitely would be picking this up.
I see many people getting excited about the PS5 Pro, thinking this is what will change the game. This will bring brand new experiences and push graphics to a whole new level.
I think many are forgetting that Devs will still have to target the base PS5 and that will limit the scope. Yes the Pro will probably manage higher resolutions and in some cases better frame rates. And if you are someone who cares a lot about that then that’s great. The Pro will be the device for you.
But don’t expect a lot more. Even some games that have performance issues today, like Dragons Dogma 2, won’t offer that much of an improvement as the framerate issues of DD2 are CPU related and from what we know, the CPU of the Pro is practically the same one of the base PS5.
Considering it will probably cost somewhere around $700, I just don’t see the value. Especially as I only managed to get my PS5 last summer.
I can’t speak for everyone. But I specifically bought the digital version because of the twin pack. Buying Rebirth and getting Remake for free was just too good of a deal.
But that pack is only interesting for people who didn’t have Remake or Intergrade before. But then again, there are PS5s that don’t have the disc drive…
I’m not sure how much digital will factor into this. So it will be very interesting to see how those numbers change the equation.
If we assume that the pro will be 150-200$ more expensive, then we are looking at a 700$ Console.
That is so much money. Not a lot of people will be willing to afford one, especially since many people only managed to buy a PS5 in 2023 in the first place. Add to that the cost of living crisis and the PS5 Pro will most definitely be a luxury product.
I wonder if this is a smart move. Wouldn’t it make more sense to focus on the PS5 base/slim and force developers to get the most out of that hardware?
If we look at the Nintendo Switch, that hardware is ancient. But Developers like Monolithsoft manage to leverage that hardware to its fullest potential, creating games like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that have no right looking as good as they do.
To be honest, it is inevitable that Capcom will raise their prices. At some point inflation will force every developer to raise their prices. The bigger question is when it will happen. And since Sony, Square-Enix, Nintendo and more have already done this, it will only be a matter of time until Capcom does it as well.
This is a really good thing. Kickstarter has always been about supporting creators and rewarding the (sometimes huge and time consuming) efforts people put into their projects.
If someone posts a „handmade“ project, lots of people back it and it is later revealed that it was made using AI, a lot of people would be mad.
I must say, I’m disappointed in the comment section. A lot of drama is being made out of two small paragraphs that don’t show up in the conclusion of the review.
PushSquare gave it a great review. It was very detailed and nuanced.
Man, look how big and consolidated the gaming industry has gotten. Sony and Microsoft are such behemoths. It’s cool and disappointing at the same time.

Re: Vibrant Magical School MMO Wizard101 Will Enchant PS4
I played it from around 2011-2014. It is a good game, but I don’t think I will start playing again.
Re: Talking Point: Can PS5, PC Shooter Concord Be Saved?
I think Concord can be saved. But it is questionable if Sony is capable of doing it. And it is questionable if they want to invest the money for it.
