@cali_kush70 can you blame journalists for thinking the XSX is superior to PS5?
When xbox speak about their console they talk about it being the most powerful and games looking the best their. When Playstation speak about their console (referring to the Amazon landing pages), they say fast loading, quick SSD. Playstation don't sound confident in saying their console is powerful in comparison to xbox. Previous generations playstation would reference the power of the console. Being silent in this area speaks volumes.
This is good for PS5, but a free next gen upgrade is different from Smart Delivery. Sony have let publishers decide on their own methods of free upgrades, Microsoft are also doing the same but pushing there alternative method which is Smart Delivery.
Smart Delivery is slightly different because it allows cross play between two different generations and you can continue game progression from where you left off on the last generation.
The only issue with the free upgrades through the publishers, they can create their own rules eg add deadlines to when the upgrades can be redeemed. $EA$ are already looking to add deadlines for Madden/Fifa 21, you need to make the upgrade before Madden/Fifa 22 release. Which isn't a problem if you're like me and buy both consoles at launch... but just a warning for everyone else.
