I have 11,5k hours in D2. Let me summarize my view about the game... This was most beautiful game that I have ever played - spectacular skyboxes... unlimited imagination. Great mechanics, movements... This game was a class ... Soundtracks .... with opera vocals ... with philharmonic - very, very beautiful! There were intriguing stories with very difficult content that was bringing joy and creates mythological spreads and that has built strong community. Imagine ... In Dreaming city there was a chance to play certain content ONLY once in 4 weeks and if you are not able to login on this week - you have to wait 3 weeks!.. On the season of the Saint 14 the community was created google spreadsheet in order to solve maze ... the community was thrilled... there where grinding 24/7... We use to have big clan with 60+ members. Now days in most crowded nights we are 4...
What is the feedback of those 56+ that have decided to stop... Starts bit by bit... but most annoying and frustrating things where:
Main reason: PvP, hackers and lack of dedicated servers... when content is consumed players start to play mainly PvP.... 100% of those 56+ mentioned above have ditched the game because of HACKERS!!!!! BF6, BlackOps 7 - it's announced that they will use TMP 2.0 and Valorant anti-cheat system. In D2 the situation is very, very sad ... Part of hardcore D2 gamers ditched RAID contest because of HACKERS ...
2) Sunsetting content ... people where angry: "I have paid for content that someone decided to took away from me without my knowledge/permission". Bungie statement - the game is big... OK... you where pioneers in so many things... be first with 200, 300, 400 GB game! Nowadays SSD's and HDD's are cheap... be exclusive... be enormously big!
3) Those homosexual things that have been put so ugly in the game. Most iconic PvP vendor (Saint14) gay ... really?! Why?!??
4) New content ... is easy ... without intrigue... there are no clever mazes, hidden hints, exclusive events once in every couple of weeks - original whisper dungeon... Dreaming city "curse weeks" ... the content is superficial ... "Player are complaining that the game is hard" ... no ... if the game is hard because you have to use your brain - then masses will use streamers and their "guides"... (but wait ... streamers are ditching game ... massively. Did you know why?! - there is lack of content ... not clever one ... just content) ... the reality - enemies are bullet sponges - which is the most insanely stupid way to make a game "difficult".
5) Lack of exclusive loot - Trials loot is accessible to everyone... users are using macros to grind loot for power level in Trials and Iron banner ... very, very, very sad ...
