In the UK Currys are currently doing Doom Dark Ages for 15% off with a discount code, £55.25 instead of £64.99.
The only reason I buy modern games physically is because they sometimes release cheaper or end up going cheap on eBay/CEX. If you want guaranteed working physical games then anything from the Dreamcast (maybe PS3) going back through time is the only choice in my opinion.
My vote was “not very happy”, not so much with the games we are getting but the game we are NOT getting. Unless Asia is paying more for PlayStation Plus, we should get Castlevania Requiem too, I’m disappointed that Sony think it’s ok to give us less. Hopefully Sony will see sense, otherwise it’s worrying that this could be a trend.
I’ve had the Switch version for just under a week (some of us who backed it on Kickstarter got it early) and I’m very impressed. It’s addictive unlocking the new ships. Past R-Type stages are apparently going to be available as dlc (free, I think, to all backers). How does it compare visually (PS4, Switch and PC)?
@ShogunRok I see, thank you. Long gone are the days when a game released in finished form (for better or worse), it feels like a lot of games are released that require patching recently.
Hopefully we can all still obtain purchased digital games PS3,PSP and Vita. It's important to know as the PS3 was the first Sony system to have a digital store and I feel that what they do now will give us an idea of what will happen to our PS4 and PS5 digital purchases in the future.
Sadly, it felt inevitable that Sony would shut down (like Nintendo) access to its digital store for (as some might call them) "legacy" consoles, although I do feel its a little early for the Vita but to be honest, I never felt like Sony gave proper support to the Vita anyway.
Steam (on PC) seems to be the best right now for being able to play digital games purchased years ago, I have since moved to PC gaming so I hope I'm not wrong. Steam has been around for around 15 years and to my knowledge no games have been removed due to a lack of compatibility or other reason.
Since the first lockdown I’ve earned 24 platinum trophies and made a huge dent in my back catalogue, I expect I’ll carry on this way until I hit the magic 100th platinum (currently have 60).

Do developers not have the role "Games Tester" anymore?
How do so many games release without proper testing these days?
