@Mortal If the post-purchase monetization is going to be like Helldivers 2, then that's reason enough for me to spend $40 over F2P. I'm tired of all the FOMO and overpriced cosmetics that are the backbone of the F2P model.
From what little I got to play of Concord, what would have been best IMO is a full $70 game with a good 10 hour campaign mode to flesh out the world and characters, but I guess that is too old school of thinking.
I liked the character sand gameplay well enough. But I need to see what the 2 modes not included in the Beta are all about. I didn't like the 1 death elimination style mode and I was sick of the team death match and trophy hunt modes by the end of the last Beta.
@Nepp67 Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart? In any case Insomniac has thus far been the MVP for Sony first party thus far for PS5. 2.5 solid games for PS5 (I'm going to count Miles Morales as the 1/2 game) vs. 1 or none from the rest of the studios.
IMO story, characters, and world building are what ND do best whereas their weakness is stuff like shooting mechanics. Multi-player live service I doubt would have worked well. I've never cared much for the MP in Uncharted games though either.
@Robocod Of the big 3 only Xbox/MS needs more IP and they seem more interested in buying current IP rather than reviving old ones. Heck just look at how their attempt at reviving Perfect Dark is going. Also, while Timesplitters has a passionate and loyal fan base, it's not a very large one. Go ahead and ask your average millennial or gen z gamer about Timesplitters and you'll most likely get a response of "what's that"
I don't know who to blame for this Steam and their ridiculously lax policies (such as this paid "early access" BS) or the supposed "master race" of PC gamers themselves who are so sweaty for games for the machines they overpay for that they fall for Steam's BS. Either way I can't seem to manage much sympathy for any involved.

@MidnightDragonDX Exactly, Embracer engaged in a ridiculously unsustainable business model.
