@PlayNation5 I think for me it's about drawing a line somewhere. Yes I could afford a 2TB, or even a 4TB if it came to it, but for general convenience, future proofing and value for money at this point 1TB will be 'good enough'.
If I get to the point where that is full, and my 2TB Crucial MX500 is full, then I probably have enough games installed to be getting on with!
Ah heck I thought, let's do it...just ordered a 1TB SN850 and a Sabrent heatsink off Amazon 👍
@PlayNation5 absolutely agree, I think 1TB gives more than enough breathing space for foreseeable future, especially combined with fast broadband and (if necessary) external SSD transfers.
And much as I love to have the fastest, I think as prices stand I'd go for something like the P5 Plus (rated at 6600MB/s) because unless you're there with a stopwatch you aren't going to notice the difference. SN850 is good price right now though if you want faster.
I think it's worth adding that the market prices over time have shown that Sony made a wise decision making the memory expansion non-custom, as compared to the Series X solution.
Yeah Scan have the 1TB Crucial P5 Plus and a heatsink for £99, Amazon is not always the way. And that's actually a real good deal imo.
I'm gonna carry on managing between the console drive, my external SSD and my fast broadband for a bit longer, but prices are becoming almost reasonable now.
@Rural-Bandit "....i’m the same with music and movies also, Digitally all the way. I am happy physical still remains for those that enjoy it and need to have it in their hands to feel like they own something. But so many come off as its the superior way to buy and collect...."
I purchased one year of Now via the 'loophole' to be set for Premium, but after browsing the library I realise that most on there I've either already purchased over the years, has been given away on PS+, is stuff I am not interested in, or is shovelware.
I knew I'd be getting the opportunity to finally try Returnal in June via this so that factored in as I'd never buy that outright, but if that's more or less it then I'm very glad I only grabbed a year and didn't go crazy and stack up six or seven years like some apparently did.
I could see myself playing through Mass Effect Legendary Edition once, and F1 2021. Maybe now Lost In Random. And that's probably it.
Not sure if Sony will (or even could) bring this over as part of the new PS+ packages, but otherwise I doubt EA will ever get money directly off me for it.
@o8-bit_Munky Yeah, exactly. It's a loophole, but hardly a 'convert your xbox gold to GPU for a quid' bargain of the century tbh. I grabbed one year just because I've never had now and I want to see what the fuss is all about when it launches.
Could have bought many many more years from a 'let's throw lots of money at Sony' point of view, but I strongly suspect a year will be enough, certainly for what premium brings. Can't see me being interested in old ass PS1,PS2 and PS3 games in the long term - nostalgia is never as good as you think it will be, especially with gaming! And as for the PS4/PS5 libraries - the bulk of that will be what's been on Now for years, and people haven't exactly been rushing to buy that in the past. Sure, they'll add a few more but probably games most players will already own or are not interested in, which is always one of the problems with subscription services. But FOMO is a strange beast on something like this.
People are very happy because they've 'tricked' Sony, paid up a few hundred quid and are locked into something like this for many years? Hmmm. I suspect Sony is laughing all the more
For those who have already have multiple years of Plus stacked (2026 for me) but no PS Now, the smart gamble is to buy one year of this which I've just done - cost me around £42 thanks to discounted credit when I last topped my wallet up.
Worse case, Sony just merge the 10 months remaining of Now into that amount of your PS+ in June and the saving you're making from being on Premium for that period equates to the difference you'd have to pay to upgrade the Plus anyway, and you get to try the service.
Better case, your PS+ is separated and added onto the end (so you get longer on your plus after the year of Premium)
Very best case, all your years of plus are converted into Premium at the changeover (unlikely, but the chance is there and who knows)
However they do it, this is the best way to have the chance for good gains at no cost for people in that situation!
Link still working as of few mins ago when I did it!
@Styledvinny79 same here, genuine value on the Turkey store - Demon's Souls for twenty quid at the moment, for example, or a year of EA play for a tenner and that one's not even a sale price.
@FuriousMachine problem is with Sony - developer has said some European regions just haven't put the game up when they should have done and they are awaiting a resolution.
For Stephen, I can confirm that Paradise Killer is not only very good - it's astonishing. Unlike anything else in the genre and the glowing reviews for it on PC and Switch were well deserved.
I picked it up myself as it's had more content added and for just under £12 this weekend for Plus members it's a no brainer for anyone on the fence.
Also starting Ni No Kuni remastered as it was only a few quid in a sale.

Prices on this article need updating - everything I've checked is a fair bit cheaper now, which is great.

Re: All PS Now Games
@themightyant Yes I do hope so, I love the indies too.

Re: All PS Now Games
If the list isn't even accurate - Undertale, for example, isn't on PS Now - what's the point of it?

I think more and more are using it now.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 PS5, PS4 Patch Restores Servers After 24 Hours, Polyphony Digital Comments on Microtransactions
I hope those complaining so much DO piss off to Xbox and GamePass. They won't be missed.
I have both consoles but don't spend my time here bashing Sony the same as I don't go onto Xbox sites and bash Gamepass.
