Don't have to pop the code in right then. Just make sure you do before it expires. I buy mine from a local store and bank them that way.

@Member_the_game just buy it when it's on sale. It just adds the year to your remaining time. How I've always done it. This was the first year I had to pay full price as I was still working down the pro rated after the switch.
