And that's where their source of the problem is.
They don't want you to pick up games for a few bucks. It's very rare I'll buy a brand new game. Because most new games are either chopped garbage full of micro transactions to sell what should be base game back to you. Or an absolute buggy unfinished mess. And seeing as games are the only product where you don't get your money back for receiving unsatisfactory product. I struggle to justify it unless it's a "proven game" GOOD LENGTH DEMO collector's edition FF7 Granblue etc.
If I've got to pay for a ps5 pro or ps6 disc drive it's PC time as clearly Sony doesn't value its customers. And PCs always have a better experience.

What playstation could do is just go back to having a disc drive with the ps5 pro. Problem solved.
As not including a disc saying it gives you more options is like losing a leg and saying you've more lifestyle options.

@Member_the_game PS6 will be completely digital. By making ps5 disc drives rare they're conditioning the market to go digital.

The PS4 was better. With a straightforward custom background on the main interface. That I wished continued throughout the dashboard with customised fonts colors etc... But hey its was PS4.
PS5 no folders to add categories, and none of the aforementioned, PS5 has gone backwards.
And I want the option to delete PS bloatware.

Because the model of release is fundamentally backwards. Make the game for PC players first. We'll mod and patch what we don't like. Release on consoles have the game supported by DLC mods. Consoles were always for the low IQ or those that have vast collections and buy limited editions. Now it's going digital it's just left the low IQ.
For me there is no PS5 vast library and I don't think they'll be a PS6 as the physical content just isn't their.
It's the end of the line.

@LogicStrikesAgain I didn't say it was a "cheap knockoff" I'm just pointing out the fact it's mechanics are mario in different look. And yes you have a point to games that will have "similarities" as to why genres exist. But to ignore the glaringly obvious overlaps is what's disingenuous. And nobody's taking away that astrobot isn't a good game it's just acknowledging that having similar things if done right is a problem.

How about giving iconic playstation games on the 30th anniversary like Resident Evil 1rm FF7rm Grand Turismo 7, GTA5, DMC, Tekken 7 DOA 5 (6 is trash) Crash and Jak trilogies.
Now that would be a good selection. Or have the option to turn free games off and get 50% off online subscription. As the only tier worth anything is premium for the back catalogue.
