@dgwdum that's quite true actually, when you think about the amount of ppl who have OneDrive, corporations that have implemented Office365, Exchange data accessed on the fly, Outlook.com mail. The list is endless. You can now start to realise how massive their server infrastructure is. Still Sony can do much much better then this, they have the resources.

I've recently converted from X**x, so not been affected by previous outages during the first half of this year. Don't remember LIVE being this bad.

My mate has just sent me this via ign :-

"Sony has confirmed that the issue is related to the high number of users attempting to connect simultaneously to PSN. Playstation 4 automatically reaches out to PSN when connected to the internet, and the traffic volume appears to be overwhelming server capacity."

I wonder if this is because of DC problems. As the game automatically tries to connect and must be generating a lot more traffic then normal. Just a wild guess
