@Strikke You need to look at the date that my original comment was. At the time there was no plans for a PS5 version and in fact Part 2 started development with PS4 in mind but moved to the PS5 exclusively because the game is so big and ambitious or whatever Square Enix's excuse was. I call BS on that because there is no way that Part 2 is going to look as detailed and as good as Forbidden West on the PS4. It's just PlayStation trying to get people to upgrade sooner. Which is nothing wrong with that.
@Grumblevolcano Don't forget we were also promised to get a Final Fantasy XVI video in October as well which more than likely would have been at said showcase.
@InfamousOrange Many games do get a free upgrade. The games that do not are usually legit PlayStation 5 versions with added content. As for backwards compatibility Xbox will no longer be adding any original Xbox or Xbox 360 games to the list and to be frankly honest the list of games that are offered are laughably poor. Would have been nice if they brought all the Halo games, Forza games, Project Cars and so many others. It's funny how many hated the fact that Xbox announced that they were going to eliminate used games back in 2013 and this is how they are doing it people....through Game Pass. Also makes me laugh when the rumored Spartacus is copying Game Pass even though PlayStation Now came out 3 years before Game Pass.

Would you rather SONY not do extensive tests or have it so you can use an untested SSD that could overheat not only the SSD but also your console? Sure SSD have gotten better with the overheating but it does still happen and SONY is covering their asses because you will get those people that will whine that they didn't do extensive testing.

Where has SONY said that they didn't care? I don't want to see an article either because the written word can be changed or misquoted. I need a video of one of the higher ups that say they don't care. Also this is up to each developer and the same goes for XBOX. Also keep in mind that this list is getting updated frequently so the amount of games grows daily. As for backwards compatibility if you want to play old games than have the old console. As for the 360 having it so did the PlayStation 3 at launch and the 360's backwards compatibility was only emulation like it was through the generations and the PlayStation 3 was hardware based. Also keep in mind that MICROSOFT said that the machine could play HD DVD and later told us that you needed a separate unit to do that and the PlayStation 3 supported blu-ray and it was built in. Also you said that SONY's treated it to make more money. Well they are a business are they not? Also look at XBOX they also make money through having those backwards compatible games on their store front making money off of each sale and also charging hosting fees for the game to be on there. Also XBOX needs to have backwards compatibility because that's all they can offer. SONY offers us new games that are game of the year contenders that are crafted with love and passion and it shows. Why did HALO Infinite look terrible? 343 Industries put the blame on everything and everyone other than themselves. Also why haven't we seen any legit gameplay running on the Series X yet? The consoles 2 months away so here's hoping we actually get some gameplay soon.
@LN78 I actually played another 7 hours and still couldn't get into it. So, I used EB Games customer satisfactory guarantee and returned it and picked up Nickelodeon Kart Racers and paid more on my Tetris Effect pre-order. Would have been nice if they started with a train robbery or a showdown at dusk. As for the snow effects. Snow doesn't look anything like that when a horse walks through it like that and yes I've done it while hunting with my cousin in all different types of snow and it has never looked like that ever.
@AFCC The game for me is a huge letdown. Why does Rockstar need to start with it being winter out everything just looks like crap. Another complaint on Rockstar games taking to long to get any excitement and don't know how start a game with a bang to get your blood pumping. I've already played an hour or so and have already put the game on the shelf and will be going back to Fist of the North Star.
@Dodoo If they wanted to take away steam from the X SONY would have shown a clip saying PS5 with no release date or anything similar to what Nintendo's E3 did with Metroid Prime 4.
@get2sammyb I'm hoping there will be a press conference during PSX '17 because really what would be the point of renting a building when they could just put everything on YouTube and their own websites. Besides, We could still get some big announcements like maybe a Spyro The Dragon Sizzlin' Set, Shenmue 1,2 remasters or maybe a huge surprise of Scalebound (one can always hope). We also didn't see anything from Death Stranding, DREAMS, WiLD, FFVII Remake and Days Gone so those can warrant a presser and add in Red Dead Redemption 2, Anthem, Metro Exodus and maybe a smattering of PS2 to PS4 game announcements like Dragon Warrior 8, Black, God of War 1, 2 (perfect timing with the launch of the new game), Ratchet and Clank series, Soul Calibur 3....etc.
