Yes. It's all optional. Concord was an optional game. No need to complain about it. They threw their main PS5 game Factions 2 off a cliff and kept financing this atrocity.

PSVR2 is optional. Don't complain about not getting games for it.
PS VITA was optional. Why complain to the overlords. You bought it at a high price. You got shafted. So what? It was optional.

I beg to differ. Of course you're right, but during the PS1,2,3 era they did their best to bring out stellar games to convince consumers to buy their console and keep buying their games.
Now they don't even do that anymore. They expect people to just buy everything, because they're a household name by now.

There's nothing about the PS5 pro that is pro consumer. They've been slowly going towards the digital only direction for a while now. They'll use all kinds of excuses like less plastic, better for the environment, cheaper, etc. But in the end it's for the bottom line, period.

Games have been utterly unimpressive. The best looking games are still on PS4. No game on the PS5 has been truly next gen to even warrant the console's existence. Yet they release a Pro version as a goddamn gimmick apparently, cause if it's not for the games, then what is it for?

What a joke of a gen. Sony can stick that inevitable digital only PS6 up their butt and keep it. I'll go back to Nintendo after 5 generations lol

But reality is, history will repeat itself. Sony's flying too close to the sun, just like after the PS2's success. The only difference is that the games saved the PS3. Those were impressive, incredible games that have yet to be topped by PS5 games in terms of everything but graphics.
The PS5 doesn't have that luxury. There's a chance PS6 won't do so well. People are waking up to these atrocious anti-consumer 1984 type BS

Idc about the PS3. The point is that it's 2 generations ago and we're going backwards. GTA IV had insane car, body and object physics and mechanics. To me it's still not beat and it's clear as day. I'm baffled anyone would even try to dispute this point. Crazy.

We struggle to get games nowadays that can match GTA IV and V technically ON PLAYSTATION 3, but everything besides PS5 pro is gonna have technical issues...?

The problem we have is not powerful enough consoles. The problem we have is unoptimized garbage games that are inferior to even PS3 games. GTA 6 is going to be just fine on PS5

But... The most advanced games are still on PS4... RDR2 and TLOU2 for instance.
There's nothing on PS5 that tops those... Why in gods name would I ever consider this machine? To play Concord!?

Honestly, as good as this game is, I thought it was gonna be a 40 bucks game for some reason.
70 bucks is way too steep for me right now for anything less than Rockstar/ Naughty Dog quality (maybe scope is the better word)

The best game technically, in writing, immersion, in details, gameplay, etc. is still RDR2. No PS5 game can hold a candle to it.

No openworld game besides Rockstar's has topped the PS3 game GTA IV. That is FOUR! It's insane how many mediocre openworld games we get TIME AND AGAIN and how people damage control them while hating on Rockstar. What a joke, honestly.

Then go and watch some comparisons. I'm not even a big AC fan. Ubisoft games have tons of comparison compilations of old vs new. They were very immersive. Mission design I could agree, but the rest DEFINITELY not.

You can't create such a huge franchise on garbage. I'd play AC1 over this crap any day of the week

The first AC had incredible world building, polished gameplay, incredible city, good story, very immersive allround. That was 2 generations ago.

This pile of dogpoop has absolutely nothing redeemable about it. AI on PS2 games is better, I've played more immersive PS2 games, physics are better in PS2 games, writing is better in PS2 games, I can go on.

Look up some Knight/ SS or Gotham Knights comparisons. It's beyond laughable.

With looks I mean animations, details, graphics, destructibles, sound design, lighting and just the sheer amount of work put into it all to make it look stunning.

Show me a game where I can zoom in and see the stitching on the suits. Spider-Man and Horizon are pretty, but nowhere near Arkham Knight. They've got lots of shortcomings. Many things can look off, the faces can look wax-y, etc.

When it's raining in Knight and you span your cape to fly, the freaking droplets will splash off your cape. Besides, the animations on the cape itself... Insanity!

I hear this a lot, but opposite is true. You people have forgotten how good Knight actually was. Otherwise Gotham Knights and SS would've had an even bigger backlash

I disagree, I think the storytelling was incredible. Not as consistent as City, but it was bigger and an ending to a trilogy, so arguably harder and they still pulled it off.

I include the moments, random encounters with the Joker for instance in there. So many cool moments when you're just going through the City and something like that pops up. Really well made and filled to the brim

I'll eat my shoes, shorts and socks if a game goes the extra mile like that this generation, bar Rockstar of course. I'm that confident in how trash the industry has become

In time, it will. If they're too stupid to not see what does and doesn't work with all these colossal failures going on in the industry, then they'll feel it eventually.

The whole Arkham trilogy, especially Arkham Knight is a damn masterpiece. Knight is a technical marvel and looks more detailed than any PS5 game, hands down. Even the criticised Batmobile was done so well, only Rockstar does car mechanics better.
They went ALL OUT.

Shame to see them fall like this, but I can't say underserved. Really sad :/

Really? Only good one I played recently was Cyberpunk and that was insanely well done.
I've had absolutely zero interest in Fallout 4/ 76 and definitely that snoozefest of a Starfield.

I'd welcome a good one, but it feels like they don't put much effort into writing anymore. "Good enough" is the new standard and these publishers are probably like "they'll buy it anyway". Glad lots of these games are getting some backlash. They think their consumers are stupid and treat us like that

Crazy how these companies still think that small maps, endless running and gunning with endless lifes is fun for anything else than goldfish.

Search and destroy and CSGO were so popular. I put hundreds of hours into the survivors mode in factions. Why this game (or insurgency Sandstorm for that matter) doesn't have a mode like that
