Of course I am playing it. So is my flatmate, we share a PS5, and as he went to bed he dropped me a message saying that I was still ahead of him but he had defeated a boss I hadn't Sister Splinter... So I thought so she's not the crucial boss, the other boss I'm facing must be the crucial one, I spent 4 hours today fighting Savage Beast fly to find out he wasn't crucial, then an hour and a half against Sister Splinter to find out she was the crucial boss. Wall cling will take me to the end game. It's going to take me years to platinum this by getting a below 5 hours completion time. The 100% in under 30 hours will be much easier to get after a few more playthroughs, and I know the lay of the land etc. I reckon that beating Sister Splinter has to be around the halfway point... I'm 23 hours in.
I've played every FF game from the beginning to now, and even though these remakes have nice graphics etc, it's taken away what made the original FF7 great, the story is daft, the final battle of the last one didn't make sense, and I don't even recall fighting a weapon yet. The main bugbear is regardless of what you had from completing the previous game, it doesn't carry over, you get a random summon for having a previous save file, it sucks. That kid with the VR is the equivalent of the annoying kid from Lightning Returns, and they should have not included him to begin with, and let us just do those battles at the Gold Saucer. For the final game it would be nice if you were given 2 options to play, 1 the original story... Or 2, the new version that is obviously going to somehow have Aeris there for the final battle. And I'd do both, but favouring the original storyline. If Aeris doesn't die, then what does Aeris and Cloud end up hooking up? I hope not. To me the original story was so much better than all the remakes they have brought out so far. If they don't include KOTR, Counter, Mime, and Phoenix as materia in the final version, I'm going to be disappointed.
I’m absolutely loving my PSVR2 and don’t get the constant negativity. The haptics alone elevate the experience, making games more immersive than ever. I’m personally not interested in playing PSVR1 games on PSVR2 unless they’ve had meaningful upgrades, like what Beat Saber did. The super-smooth gameplay and advanced features make this headset feel like a next-gen experience.
One game I keep coming back to is Pistol Whip—it’s an absolute blast and provides countless hours of fun. I’ve picked up Call of the Mountain but haven’t had time to dive in yet because there are so many titles to explore. Right now, I’m looking forward to Arken Age—the idea of Dark Souls in VR sounds incredible, and I can’t wait to give it a go. PSVR2 has so much to offer if you give it a chance!
