Awesome to see a studio take pride in their work, culture and what they achieved in Wukong. Does it deserve Game of the year. For many, yes… but so do many of the nominees.
It was decided by a large panel of industry reps and as good as their game may have been, there were others that were better or resonated more with the panel. Personally FF7 Rebirth was easily the top game for me but they can’t all win.
Game Science should be proud of what they achieved and strive to do even better next round.
