I've been on the xbox360 for most of the day, waiting for Sony to sort themselves out. At one point, I went into the kitchen and had a conversation with the wife. She seems quite nice.
@Gingercrs Thanks. Ours is still down with a different error code. We now get CE-34861-2. Sony issue the same instructions to ever error code. Re-set router bla bla bla.
I'm in North London - UK. Been told that the servers will be operational within the next 24 hours. My son has reverted back to his xbox 360 and doesn't seem too bothered about the ps4 now, which he was really looking forward to. Money well spent again, sheesh.
@Jacoba74 I re-booted the router and did an internet test with the ps4. It said the connection was fine. However, when ever I try to connect to psn I keep getting the same error message with regards to the servers. Haven't got a clue what's going on At least you've got it up and running Jacoba so there's happy faces in your household
@Pakio89 Same here. I can sign into the online website through my pc, but I can't sign onto anything with the actual ps4.
@Jacoba74 Morning I'm afraid things are still bad at my end. Every time he tries to log into psn we get a message saying, Connection To Server Has Been Terminated. NW-31194-8. I'm gonna look-up what this means.
@Jacoba74 Cheers, same to you. Back on tomorrow. For now though, the hackers have stopped their attack because the psn servers have been fried. 80% of sony's members will not have access to psn.
The national news channel ITN has just announced that psn is now back online, as is Microsoft. (London, UK) My son has just checked and it says the server has now been terminated. WTF?
That's what I was thinking but it appears that some people got access. They also announced that they was going to hack Sony at Christmas before Sony was hacked. They appear to delete their tweets every 15 hours for some reason. NBC announced it is them on Twitter, which is probably why they've started to trend on there.
@Jacoba74 ... They're announcing what they're doing on Twitter. They're announcing what they're doing and are currently trending on there. Twitter can't get rid of them and they're on the news too. I think this is the start of something big.
Apparently, some people can now get online to where You Know Who are allowing you to download Destiny, Call of Duty Ghosts, and Advanced Warfare for free. They claim they now have full control. Personally, I wouldn't trust it, but that's the latest news.
Sony have now said that there is no eta with regards to the server problem and microsoft have now admitted that they have been attacked again today having got their servers back for a short while. You Know Who have said that psn will remain off line until further notice. As a joke, they have said, they will allow psn to operate properly if they are verified on twitter, which is now trending on there. It's a crazy ol' World isn't it.
These people are either fanatics - always campaigning against big corporations, or they've been hired to attack them. It's weird how Sony got hacked not too long ago because of their film relating to Kim Jong Un, and now they've been hacked again.
You must be one of a few then get2sammyb. I bought my son a ps4 for Christmas and he still can't create a psn account. It lets him get so far, then it says 'servers down' or words to that effect. All he can do is play campaigns at the moment, like most people. You would think that big corporations like Sony would have back-up servers, or something to combat attacks like this one. It is pretty poor in todays day 'n age when a group of kids can turn over company's like Sony and Microsoft. It wouldn't be too bad if they targeted Apple, you know, company's that treat their staff like dirt.
PSN servers still down in the UK due to a hack attack at Sony. The Daily Express reported that Sony received a warning with regards to a Christmas Day attack on their servers from a group calling themselves, you know who. (this was in a national newspaper so I'm not sure how true it is.) Either way, the servers are still down over here (London.) I was told that they should be up and running by Monday.
