@DennisReynolds Agreed. I'm really surprised they've said nothing in regards to patching the game out. Especially the performance mode. It's all well and good for it to be praised and nominated for GOTY. But come on, Game Science could at least polish it up.

I played the demo. The art direction is simply beautiful, but that's the only positive thing for me unfortunately. I enjoy strategy games in general, so I was hoping to like it. But I wasn't feeling this one in particular. I highly doubt having a physical edition would have helped improve sales that much, if only by a margin.

Sega's marketing didn't help on that front either. Regardless, I hope this doesn't stop Capcom from attempting fresh ideas though. It's clear this game has an adoring fanbase.

Solid JRPG. You really can't go wrong with SMTV. Highly addictive gameplay loop and challenging as well. Just don't go in expecting Persona.

As much as I've enjoyed the games that have released over the years. PS5 Gen honestly hasn't been that much of a jump (tech wise). I'll probably grab the Pro whenever that happens, but I'm certainly in no rush.

I'd give it a 7. It has plently going for it, but the UI is a hassle to navigate, the TV mode absolutely kills the pacing and not being able to control characters you've pulled for outside of combat is a massive shame.

However, the art design is great, the voice acting is enjoyable and combat is pretty fun overall.

This literally looks like a copy and pasted Project Mugen game. I thought it was the same game at first.
