Re: MLB The Show 21 Dev Responds to Road to the Show Criticism

It's not just that the progression is slow. It is primarily that the progression is BROKEN. The whole progression revolves around upgrading your perks by performing in game tasks. These tasks are not tracking so if it says you need to steal 1 base and you get three in a game, it still says 0. It makes the game unplayable because none of your actions matter. I cannot believe this has not already been fixed seeing has we are now officially past the official launch.

Other than Wolfenstein, Doom and Evil Within, I don't think there is a single Bethesda title that I have liked, and those three are all just published by Bethesda. Is anyone really going to be kicking themselves over missing a Bethesda game? I could see this move being a big deal ten years ago, but now? I don't think the community is as stocked on them as they used to be.

@Coltaine22 I highly, and I mean HIGHLY, doubt that they will take away existing cross platform games and remove their listing on the playstation store. I do think you will see new games coming out as exclusives, with the possibility of making a franchise with large cross platform fandom a non-exclusive should they decide it is financially prudent to do so.

@LiamCroft I think that might be reading too much into it. I would say a legacy game in the way he talks about it is games that existed previously on both platforms (Doom, Wolfenstein, etc.). I do not think he is saying that he is ripping those off the marketplace for playstation. I also think by his comments he is saying that if they make a new game in a popular series that has fans across platforms, they may make it a cross-platform title. I see his comments as a commitment not to take away titles from current fans, but also committing to releasing exclusive content in the future with their new IPs.
