You can tether your Wifi model to your cellphone and get the same effect as 3G...it has the ability to be tethered (was on their site) (A couple of my friends are doing this now and have told me it works very well tethered) . This way you also won't have 2 separate service provider charges.
In Canada, we haven't received the 3G model, my thoughts most likely because they haven't yet gotten a service provider here to agree about the Vita being added.
Near works very well for me with Wifi.
The Vita is the best thing to happen to Sony in quite a while..absolutely love mine and can't put it down.
Also, I have the 32 GB card and now have about 14 GB left after loading everything onto it (massive amounts of music, photos, videos, etc) and about 8 games as well.
In my opinion, I like it better than game cards..as they're small and easily lost.
Downloads can be re downloaded again, a hardcopy is lost.
The store charges $5 less for downloaded ones and in North America....there are no added taxes on the download, but purchasing the hardcopy there are 13 % taxes which makes me download mine, as it's a cheaper alternative.
Downloading saves me over $10 from buying the hardcopy game and I don't have 8 or more finger nail sized game cards to carry around with me...Just the 32 GB card already installed in the Vita.....Plus I don't fear losing the storage card, or a game card, because I can get it again from my download.
