Should it depend on how bad/buggy when company released it? For example Battlefield 2042 and PC port for TLOS is not acceptable. I remember I play God of War Ragnorok in day one and see some bug/issue here and there but it does not bother me, it is a good game.
How about add a year pass for making the character aging in each monthly update (especially Gollum, for example hair starts to lose) as you play so that you get a more immerse experience? I will buy in day one!

Why would people play one of the worst character in the lord of the ring series? Just to see the death screen at the end? Beyond me.
