I feel like Sony is making the same mistake they made at the end of the PS2 generation. They are winning, they think they can do no wrong and are now "optimizing" their profitability. It ended badly for them the last time and it could happen again next year. It is just that it would be hard to lose in a battle against Xbox.
But it was a bad value several years ago, since PS4 does not have backwards compatibility and the number of games available would have been very small. Today the number of games should be sufficient to justify it, even though the service is still more valuable on Xbox. Last generation's hits like Dead Space, Crysis or Mass Effect trilogies are available on Microsoft's machine, will not be available here.
This may also mean that EA games will start appearing in PS Plus.
