Say what you want about the Life is Strange series, at least they know how to avoid cutting off branches of a multiple choice game. Something most VN could definitely take notes from if they don't want to render people's playthroughs a waste.
@Wentos As someone who platinumed Tales of Symphonia and Star Ocean 3, I agree to an extent. While I hate having to go through whole months on one game and needing multiple playthroughs to experience everything it has to offer, I get why they do it. They want you to get your money's worth. I still rather have that than a game takes the span of a Call of Duty campaign to complete. Around 40-60 hours is perfectly fine.
