@Loamy I fail to see how Twitter (full of people who indulge in literal nazi sh!, loads of edge lords wanting to use the n word, anti trans nonsense, all of which gets promoted if you have a blue tick) and Bluesky (full of people prepared to disagree on many things but less likely to be denying the humanity of anyone they interact with, or indulge in racism or bigotry) are in any way as destructive as each other or two sides of the same coin. That idea is a fallacy. One does not debate people who are denying other people their humanity. The sheer amount of people throwing around the n word on the day that Elon bought twitter showed the way it was headed and it got worse as time went on. It is a cesspool.
I think the article shied away from that part of why people left and ignoring the bigotry is not the way to go regardless of one's politics.
