Re: Poll: Which Bethesda RPG Needs an Oblivion-Style Remaster Next?

Dagoth-Ur

Morrowind is no doubt their best game. But I don't trust current Bethesda to remake it faithfully nor improve/add QoL where needed. The team Bethesda used to remaster Oblivion might be able to remaster Morrowind.

And current Obsidian is a disaster with little talent remaining, nor Chris Avellone the writer of FO NV. But a remaster of that with a competent team fixing the million bugs, completing the game and expanding the map would be welcomed too I'm sure.

Re: Surprise Ecco the Dolphin Remasters Revealed for PS5, New Game on the Way

"commentary on environmental issues" I don't think the end of Ecco the dolphin is an environmental issue...more a 'dark forest' issue lol. (Don't look up what that means if you haven't played Ecco the dolphin, it's a spoiler).

This is a classic, I have these on the mega drive and Mega-CD. Good they're finally being remastered. Plus a new one? about time.

The mega-CD soundtrack was amazing, but so was the mega drive one (welcome to the machine)

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Broke PS Store Sales Records for Ubisoft

Assassins Creed Shadows: development cost is supposedly 5 - 10 times more than Valhalla.

Assassins Creed Shadows: Sells less than Valhalla.

Ubisoft: "big success!"

Yeah, that's not success Ubisoft. That's putting a plaster over the San Andrea's fault line, then pretending there is no fault line.

I'll wait for the quarterly earnings Ubisoft will try to hide rather than take any stock in these game publication articles.

"THE NUMBERS MASON"

Re: PSN Down Worldwide as PS5, PS4 Players Can't Log In or Play Online

@RoomWithaMoose You mention people's annoyance comes off as entitled and petty, and mentioned 4 different consoles they could instead play (3 of them range from £300-£1500). A lot of people may only have a Playstation (whether that's from being more a casual gamer or for monetary reasons, the latter on this site may be the case given the economic state of the world).
With touching grass, people in several time zones have probably touched grass several times already today, along with doing various other things, and now have nothing to do on the Saturday evening in what may be their only free time.

"and you're just doing yourself a disservice getting worked up over something so trivial. I really mean that last one: you'll live a longer, happier life if you take minor annoyances in stride. So don't worry so much."
This is true, I hope you can also take the comments on this page that annoyed you more in your stride.

@Vladspartan Xbox steal people's digital games by revoking licenses stealthily whilst the games are still on the store, and their purchase history doesn't go back far enough. Then don't remedy it, putting you through to other xbox players as customer support. Throw in their console's network outages, they're a disaster that never recovered from the abysmal xbox one launch.

As someone who has 2 xbox crystals (one I modded heavily) and a 360 E, plus a few Playstations. Both of these console's (these brands) are on borrowed time, unless they really change course. Poor first party IPs, poor software, so many missteps the last few years. I've seen a lot of people are starting to like the idea of owning a PC, myself included. I hope these consoles can return to their roots.

Some of the comments. "Go outside and get some fresh air" ah yes after I just went running for an hour. if I take in anymore fresh air I'll become a human whoopee cushion. Or "Play an offline PS game" - no good if a title keeps trying to connect to the service to update, error loop. None of these games are 'offline'. Looks like it's back to reading for several hours.

I doubt people can even watch movies on their PS4/5 without the error appearing. I wonder if this is a data breach like on the PS3 years ago.

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Sales Keep Pace with Dragon's Dogma 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in UK

Dagoth-Ur

No, Dragon Age Veilguard is not keeping up with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth sales.

FF7 Rebirth sales - 3 million+ (2 million from Feb launch til April)

Dragon Age Veilguard: under 500,000 with vast refunds on steam. Currently has 32,000 active player's. It has under performed the poorly sold Star Wars Outlaws which sat at 1 million.

And both of these games have done very poorly compared to FF7 Rebirth despite being on not 1 - but 3 platforms.
