Sony subsidiary Crunchyroll made a slew of announcements at the Anime Expo in LA this weekend, but of most interest to PlayStation fans are these new posters for its forthcoming Ghost of Tsushima adaptation.
A collaboration between PS Productions, Sony Music Entertainment, and Aniplex, the series promises to “translate the game’s signature samurai aesthetic into a visually compelling, cinematic experience”.
The posters show three different characters: the Assassin, the Hunter, and the Ronin.

Remember, this is based on the supernatural Legends multiplayer spin-off mode – not the core single player story starring Jin Sakai.
Satoshi Maejima and Gen Urobuchi of Nitro Plus fame are on writing duties, while Takashi Okazaki is doing the character designs.
The project will be directed by Takanobu Mizuno, with Hayate Inc handling production. That’s another Sony subsidiary, so this is a true synergistic project.
There’s no word on a release date for the series just yet, but you’ll obviously be able to watch it worldwide as part of your Crunchyroll subscription.
The streaming service announced a bunch of other major series during its panel at Anime Expo, including an adaptation of The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy At All, the so-called “green yuri” which has been garnering a lot of acclaim in printed form these past few years.
