PS5 story game Dispatch turns one year old today, 22nd October 2026. Happy birthday to Dispatch! To celebrate the occasion, Adhoc Studio has released new DLC that adds new commentary and storyboard modes to the experience.

Anyone who owns the Deluxe Edition of Dispatch gets the content for free, while base game owners can pay $10.99 to access it. That content should be available now.

In the new commentary mode, you can choose to hear from either the developers or the voice cast as you play through the title. You'll learn their perspectives as you play, with different commentary tied to the choices you make. If you pick the track featuring the voice actors, you'll hear from Aaron Paul (Robert), Laura Bailey (Invisigal), and Erin Yvette (Blonde Blazer).

Then there's the storyboard mode, which replaces all the scenes with their original storyboard animatics. It provides a behind-the-scenes look at "how a cinematic narrative game is built from the ground up. The mode offers a look at how AdHoc developed the scenes, performances and visual storytelling behind Dispatch."

On the game's first anniversary, co-creative director Nick Herman said that while it's not always possible, AdHoc Studio wanted to give something back to the fans and give them a peek into the years of work that went into the game.

"So for the fans who made Dispatch a part of their lives, we wanted to give them more ways to experience the world they love, whether that’s playing alongside the cast and crew, experiencing the entire game in its original storyboards, or hanging out together IRL at the wildest version of a Dispatch concert our finance team would sign off on."

It certainly sounds like a second season of Dispatch could happen one day, but for now, this anniversary content allows you two new days to engage with the first. Will you be doing so? Let us know in the comments below.
