I'm in a very strange spot with this DLC. I ended up loving Crimson Desert but the thought of an entirely new map with loads of new gameplay systems makes me feel queasy. Maybe I've just had my fill.

I need to go back to crimson desert on got stuck on a boss becuase i didnt have enough healing items and havent gone back since i just need to quit the mission and stock up i think the games great i just hope the expansion really focuses on the story telling which for me is the only big weakpoint for this game.

two or three times a week when i see that my ps5 has downloaded another crimson desert patch i think maybe it’s time to give it another shot, then think best to wait till the developers manage to go a month without an update first.

That's fine I'm four-hundred+ hours in and only today reached the desert. I'm cooking right now in the game as I type. It's become my game of the year (so far) my 'what are you playing this weekend' has been that game for weeks now, probably even longer than that. I started the day after that recent Gamescom trailer, if someone wants to try the math. Either way I'll be playing the DLC day one if possible. I can't stop playing the game itself.

Can't wait to play it. For me Crimson Desert's biggest strength is its amazing exploration, the action and story are almost secondary to just roaming around and discovering new things.

@Theamazing1 I'm curious what boss it was, I only died to one yet. It was a tough one and the only non-spoiler hint I can give is it had the name 'sword' in it. The others have been crumbling to the might of R1 + R2, my new spear has been helping too.

• Crow's Pursuit means R2 shoots crows at people, Arrow Rain is an AoE attack that triggers when an enemy dies. Gears make the games combat so much fun and varied.

I think I'm doing pretty well all things considering. The games biggest weakness is in it's inability to not explain certain systems. I only found out yesterday (by a random button press) that gears can be combined to make stronger versions, hence Attack 3.

I think it's time to hit the game up again - I just got tired of climbing everywhere - - 280hrs in when I stopped

@Blacknun If you upgrade Axiom Force you can grapple like Batman, it shoots you right up in the air. I use it to quickly cross castle walls and zoom up and over mountains. It's not just for solving puzzles, people miss it because it means looking deep into the games skill tree. You can find climbing gear too, boots/etc, they make vertical traversal a breeze.
