This FMV Adventure Set in Akihabara Now Has a Demo, PS5 Pre-Orders Come with PS Plus Discount 1

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the PS5 is flooded with FMV games these days – many from China and Korea.

But the Japanese studio behind Death Come True also has a new mystery on the way: Akiba Lost.

The plot deals with the disappearance of six women, and is set in Tokyo’s so-called “electric town”, Akihabara.

But when protagonist Daiki Shinjo is inspired to make a game based on the events, the incident begins to reoccur.

The title has multiple characters, allowing you to watch the story unfold from various perspectives. Obviously this forms the foundation of the gameplay, with branching decisions and cascading consequences.

And you can try a demo on the PS Store right now to get a feel for whether this is for you.

If you like it, the full game can be pre-ordered with a 10% PS Plus discount through its release on 16th September.

A Digital Deluxe Edition is also eligible for the deal, which includes some additional cosmetics, a digital soundtrack, and a Drama Movie mode, which I think lets you just watch the story unfold like it’s a film.

I don’t know whether I’ll bother with the demo because I think I’m going to buy this at launch, but let me know your thoughts in the comments section if you do take a look.
