Zoopunk explore the origins of Torch City, which was the setting for F.I.S.T.. You will take part in "the dawn of the First Torch War, when the discovery of the fire seed energy sparks an age of rapid technological progress and catastrophic conflict."

The setup from TiGames continues: "As the energy spirals out of control, it awakens mechanical debris into self-aware, unstoppable war machines. Initially created to harness energy, these machines soon adopt violence from their creators, turning against the animals and establishing a mechanical empire bent on domination. With the city in chaos, animals from rival factions must unite to resist this overwhelming force."

It's like the devs took out everything that made F.I.S.T. such a breath of fresh air and replaced it with a generic action game.
Should had continue with metroidvania and improve it even further. FIST was awesome but going into this direction doesn't give me hope unfortunately.
Is this a single player or co-op game?
Loved F.I.S.T but this just looks like Biomutant... and I did not like that game. Shame they've decided to switch genre.
Shockingly, I'm actually quite excited for this. There's only so much you can do to make a metroidvania stand out, a sequel in the same style would feel a bit iterative.
This new style reminds me of the Guardians game, if they can pull that off in an interesting world with loveable characters, then I'm sold.
The first game was great but "Metroidvanias" games have oversaturated the market. Im open for something new.
Surprising change and surprising to see FIST getting a sequel but super happy it is and I think this could be pretty cool. Likely to be one of those hidden gems I hear are all the rage.
Reminds me of Armed and Dangerous from the original Xbox in all the best ways!
