Brilliant PS5 Beat-'Em-Up All-In on Avengers: Doomsday Hype in New DLC

I really enjoyed Marvel Cosmic Invasion last year, and I’ve been looking for an excuse to replay it. (I didn’t end up going back for Cyclops and The Thing, released as DLC earlier this year.)

But it looks like there’ll be ample incentive to return this fall in the form of a new major expansion: The Siege of Castle Doom.

This is obviously trying to align itself with the Avengers: Doomsday hype, ahead of the film’s release this December.

There’s no word on a price or even any footage just yet, but here’s what the press release says:

“This upcoming premium downloadable content will find the infamous Doctor Doom central to an all-new game mode arriving alongside two new playable characters for Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the DICE Awards-nominated, tag-team cooperative beat-’e- up celebrating the golden eras of classic Marvel storylines and entertainment.”

Dev Tribute Games had teased “fresh challenges” earlier in the year, so it’s going to be interesting to see how this content is handled.

I’m really looking forward to going back to this brawler when the new content arrives later in the year.
