Korean indie game No Case Should Remain Unsolved is coming to the PS5 on 19th August, having already received “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on PC and Switch a couple of years ago.
The game, made by Somi, is a “story-driven” narrative adventure where you must “piece together scattered testimonies like a jigsaw puzzle to solve a case”.
Here’s the blurb, provided by publisher Playism:
“On February 5, 2012, the police were notified of a little girl by the name of Seowon going missing from a nearby playground. Even after an extensive investigation that involved questioning all persons of interest, the police were never able to solve the case.

Twelve years on, Jeon Gyeong, a retired police detective who was on Seowon’s case, was paid a visit by a young police officer who pleaded with her to revisit the case. As Jeon Gyeong retraces the past and more old memories are recovered, a shocking revelation becomes clear: everyone connected to Seowon’s case was lying.”
The game’s dominated by text and monochrome visuals, but I think it’s got a nice look despite the inherent simplicity of it all.
