PlayStation Comic-Con

Sony has confirmed it's taking God of War Laufey, Marvel's Wolverine, and Marvel Tokon to San Diego Comic-Con at the end of this month, with dedicated panels for all three PS5 titles announced.

The Marvel's Wolverine and Marvel Tokon panels shall both take place on Thursday, 23rd July 2026, with both promising new reveals and announcements.

Lead developers at Insomniac will take to the stage alongside Wolverine actor Liam McIntyre "to unveil exciting new details from the highly anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine". Attendees will get a "behind-the-scenes look into the game’s story, characters, and exclusive never-before-seen content".

As for Marvel Tokon, its panel will "take you inside the making of the game and the creation of MARVEL Tokōn’s place in the Marvel Universe". It's promising "behind-the scenes-looks, and surprise announcements you won’t want to miss".

Then there's the God of War Laufey panel taking place the day after, on Friday, 24th July 2026. Game director Ariel Lawrence, head of creative Cory Barlog are joined by actors Deborah Ann Woll (Laufey), Chris Judge (Kratos), Jack Quaid (Phranque), and Perlina Lau (Rue) on stage.

"Panelists will share new details about the heroes of God of War Laufey, including behind-the-scenes insights from development and the performance capture that brings each character to life."

Persistent rumours suggest God of War Laufey will release in the first half of next year, so while a release date reveal at Comic-Con doesn't seem likely (I assume that'll be saved for a State of Play), there's a good chance we'll get a lot more gameplay and general details concerning the PS5 release.
