The notes mention that this new, optional mode is "full HD, up to 60fps". Here's hoping that it's a stable frame rate, and the resolution hasn't taken too much of a hit.

Original Story: It's been over eight months since Digimon Story Time Stranger launched on PS5, but Bandai Namco apparently never forgot about its promise to improve the game's performance.

The creature-taming RPG has been capped at a disappointing 30 frames-per-second since launch, but a freshly revealed update, which drops on the 9th July, will include a 60fps performance mode.

And that's not all. The patch also adds Terriermon Assistant as a playable party member, complete with his little lab coat and tie, as well as a photo mode that can be used out in the field.

If you're on the market for a monster-based RPG, you can do a lot worse than Time Stranger. It's not perfect in terms of gameplay balance, but building your ideal Digimon team is super addictive.
