Hey, at least it's not yet another game launching in September (although it's pretty damn close).
You can get a fresh eyeful of the hack-and-slasher via the above trailer, and it really does look like the classic Dynasty Warriors experience, reborn in glorious current-gen graphics.
But that's not all! In a move that's got Dynasty Warriors Origins fans flustered, protagonist Ziluan has been added as a playable character. He seems to wield his default one-handed sword weapon.

I logged a ridiculous number of hours into this game when it came out. I think my friends got tired of me talking about it. I'll for sure be picking it up for the nostalgia factor alone.

Looks very much a faithful reimagining of the PS2 classic! Wonder how the split screen will hold up, haha.
Glad to see so much love for DW3 here! This is the game that got me into the series and I played actively until 5. I think 4 was probably the best for me but I truly fell off the series when they removed character-specific weapons. Made everyone feel identical and it lost a ton of charm.
Can't wait to dive into this!! This and Stuntman were the only games that interested me in the entire state of play.
Yaaaay finally a date. Been waiting on this since March. They've been quiet but glad this is on track for a new date.
