Xbox closed out its press conference earlier today with a look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s extraction mode, DMZ.
This is one of those “fake gamer” trailers, with overlaid dialogue meant to make it seem like a real person is playing.
But it looks like a massive improvement over Activision’s previous attempt in Modern Warfare 2. Some of the things I spotted here include dynamic weather, as well as the ability to drag and revive teammates.
DMZ will be a primary pillar of this new game, alongside the previously revealed campaign and obligatory competitive multiplayer. With the likes of ARC Raiders exploding in popularity, I’d expect Infinity Ward to put a lot more support behind this feature.

I must admit, even though I’m not a big CoD fan, I am taken with the Korean setting in this game. I loved all the little scenery details at the start of this trailer, like the mall and the baseball stadium.
As previously revealed, the game’s due out on 23rd October.
Are you in for this new attempt at DMZ? Is Call of Duty a strong enough show closer? Let us know below.

I'm probably the only person here that likes COD lol but yeah it looks good and an improvement over MW2's DMZ, I played that mode a lot a few years ago. It looks like I'm in.
DMZ was my jam in MW2. This mode alone may convince me to buy 4 and I legit swore off COD after MW2. I wish this was F2P like Warzone, but alas...
COD not being able to have an original idea in its body.🤦♂️🤦♂️
Can you not look down your scope in this mode?
