Poncle, the maker of Vampire Survivors, released its new card-based game Vampire Crawlers this week – and we love it.
But the studio has a lot more in the pipeline, 15 projects to be precise.
Those of you on social media may have noticed earlier today that The Game Business published a report saying the studio was working on 15 games. The UK-based studio has been fighting fires ever since, clarifying that it’s actually got a mixture of different things in the hopper, including DLC and free updates.

“We're working on 15 projects, not 15 games,” it said. “This includes Vampire Survivors, DLCs, free updates, our published games, etc.”
As the story started to circulate, it’s since had to correct a number of outlets. We won’t be one of them, Poncle!
The key thing here is that it’s opened a couple of studios in Italy and Japan to help maximise its output. It seems like it wants these to be quite small, close-knit teams maintaining its indie spirit – but obviously these new outfits are going to expand on what it’s already doing.
And if you’re wondering where it’s getting all of its money, the dev announced at London Games Week earlier this month that Vampire Survivors now has passed over 27 million players.
It’s since shared the game’s engine with Auroch Digital, who are working on Warhammer Survivors, which is coming to the PS5 later this year.
Exciting times ahead then for fans of moreish, vaguely gothic indie projects. We’re excited to see what else the studio has in store.
