Bethesda has further "plans" for Starfield, putting to bed any doubt that support would be drying up after its landmark PS5 release.
Speaking to GamesRadar, lead creative producer Tim Lamb doesn't beat around the bush, simply stating: "There's more to come for Starfield".
How much more is up for debate, however. Lamb doesn't really go into any detail, saying: "I won't go into specifics, but when we launch a game, our plan is always long-term support. To what level that happens, or the significance of that, how it manifests, is open to interpretation."

"I think there's things that still excite the team – there are still lore and places that we're excited to explore; those would be the things we'll be chasing after," he explains.
At this point, it's worth remembering that a dedicated team at Bethesda has been adding to and improving Starfield for close to three years. In that time, it's received a major DLC, a number of significant updates, and now, a second expansion alongside what is arguably its biggest update yet.
So, the "long-term support" that Lamb mentions has arguably already been fulfilled — but we're sure that fans of the sci-fi RPG will appreciate the continued effort.
Studio art director Istvan Pely brings a little more insight to the topic, commenting: "We've talked about so many different versions of DLCs that we want to do, that address different parts of the game – the list is crazy."
"We intend to keep doing updates," Pely continues. "Whether or not they're small or massive or somewhere in between... we definitely plan to keep going. It's not like this is the end of Starfield."
It'll be interesting to see what Bethesda gets up to over the coming months, then. We imagine that the game's release on PS5 will give the studio yet more reason to stick with Starfield — especially if it ends up selling well on Sony's system.
