Whimsical open world dress-up RPG Infinity Nikki is poised to get even prettier on the PS5 Pro, with the release of its upcoming v2.5 update.
Due out on 23rd April, completely free, the fresh patch promises to “enhance performance and image quality” across all Sony consoles – but especially the manufacturer’s supercharged model.
Key among all this is a transition to the platform holder’s revamped PSSR2 upscaler, which “enhances image sharpness, visual clarity, and frame rate stability, with improvements most noticeable in large areas or during combat”.

Central to this game are its gorgeous outfits and layered fabric textures, and the dev says these will “now appear more defined, making styling moments feel even more rewarding up close”.
A New Location to Explore
It’s not just the graphics that will get an upgrade with v2.5, though: dev Paperfold is introducing a new “more mature” region known as the Boneyard, which will revolve around “themes of reincarnation, destiny, and choice”.

Writing on the PS Blog, Global PR Manager Zexu Shi explained:
“It’s a quieter, more atmospheric region, with environments shaped by dragon bones, ruins, and lingering mysteries. As you explore, more of its story unfolds through the world itself. With the visual improvements on PS5 Pro, this region feels even more immersive – especially when moving through its expansive spaces or taking in distant views.”
New dress abilities will bring fresh gameplay opportunities to this region, as the dev continues to expand on the release’s core concepts.
As always, you’ll be able to experience everything for free by simply updating your game, including the new region and PS5 Pro graphical improvements.
