Starfield PS5

After its surprisingly limited PS5 update for Starfield last week, which was designed to fix the crashing issues users are facing for just a single graphics mode on PS5 Pro, the publisher has another patch live now.

As Bethesda puts it, here is what the update does: "We just released a hotfix for Starfield on PS5 which includes a fix for a crash that could occur while viewing load order as well as several other crash and stability fixes."

It states it'll have more Starfield updates in the future, but thanks the community for its feedback regarding the crashing problems specific to PS5. The wording suggests the firm believes the technical issues may be fixed after today's hotfix, so we'll have to see whether they actually are in-game in the coming hours and days.

Since its launch on PS5 at the start of this month, there have been many reports from new players of crashing issues across a number of different scenarios and situations. While they haven't affected everyone, the problems have been prominent enough for Bethesda to directly address them over the past week, culminating in today's hot fix.

As luck would have it, we didn't encounter any technical problems whilst conducting our Starfield PS5 review, which we awarded a 7/10 score at the end of. "Its faction questlines are the highlight, and the improved combat systems and new gameplay capabilities make the experience worthwhile. However, two and a half years later, there is considerably more Starfield. Only some of it makes it better."

Having applied the hot fix, share your experiences of Starfield on PS5 comments below, noting if you get any crashes.
