Beginning from 2nd April, Sony will be making the PS5 more expensive across the board.
In a generation filled with price hikes, these are some of the biggest increases we’ve seen to the console to date. This is basically your last opportunity to get the system at a reasonable fee.
Here’s how the prices will change, beginning 2nd April:
- PS5: $549.99/£479.99 > $649.99/£569.99
- PS5 Digital Edition: $499.99/£429.99 > $599.99/£519.99
- PS5 Pro: $749.99/£699.99 > $899.99/£789.99

We’ve scoured the Internet for the best deals available now, while stocks last. Your mileage will vary, and some of these require additional voucher codes to get the best savings.
We’ll try to update as and when new deals become available.

USA
In the US, there are very few deals on the PS5, so getting it at MSRP before the price increase feels like your best bet. Woot did temporarily have a good deal on the PS5 Digital Edition for $379.99, but this has since sold out.
Your best bet is PS Direct, which still has PS5 Digital Edition Fortnite bundles available for $399.00. This will increase to $599.99 later in the week, so it’s a good deal under the circumstances.
PS Direct also has the PS5 Pro still at its MSRP, for $749.00. Remember, this will increase to $899.99 on 2nd April, so you’re saving $150 if you buy now.
One thing worth noting is that GameStop is offering trade-in deals on the PS5 Pro while stocks last. The company is promising up to $400 for base PS5 trade-ins, making the upgrade $349 until 2nd April, as long as your console is in good condition and includes all of the original components.
Note you will need a Pro Membership to take advantage of this trade-in offer as well.
Most other retailers in the US still have the PS5 at its MSRP right now, so those are your best options before the price increase on 2nd April.
UK
If you’re in the market for a PS5 Pro in the UK, Very may be your best bet.
They're selling the console for £689.00, but if you apply for Very Pay and use the voucher code WELCOME during the checkout process, you’ll be eligible for a 20% discount.
This will make the console, which is soon to be £789.99, just £551.20 – a humongous saving. They also have bundles including a Disc Drive, so you can add that to the mix if you like and net the 20% saving in the process.
The same promotion works on base PS5 consoles as well, so these are the best prices you're going to find with the 20% discount attached.
If you don't want to deal with Very, both Argos and John Lewis have the PS5 Pro at £60 off while stocks last. That makes the system £639.99 for now.
However, if you’re a Lebara Mobile user than you’ll also be eligible for an additional 5% discount voucher on all purchases at John Lewis, which when used against a PS5 Pro can bring the price down to £607.99 overall.
Argos and John Lewis are also running £30 savings on PS5 Slim consoles – both the Disc Edition and Digital Edition – but again, Lebara Mobile users can get an extra 5% off at the latter using the discount voucher mentioned above.
If you’re not turned off by the idea of a refurbished console, then Music Magpie – a reseller on eBay – has reconditioned units for £434.99.
These are eligible for a 20% discount if you use the code CHEERY20 at checkout, making them just £359.99 overall, which is probably the best price you’re going to find outside of pre-owned units.
