Sony's shadow-dropped spin-off God of War: Sons of Sparta has been selling surprisingly well, and that presumably leads to more feedback for developer Mega Cat Studios.
The team has been dropping fairly regular updates for the game since its launch, aiming to stamp out remaining bugs and make the experience smoother for all.
One problem we've seen talk of is issues with save data; it's a reasonably common complaint that players are losing hours of progress. Well, in the latest update (version 1.007.000), the team hopes to eliminate this particularly nasty bug.
In the official patch notes, Mega Cat says it has implemented "stability measures" to the save system, which should "remove the occurrence of save loss or rollback related to the screenshot system".
Hopefully this will put an end to any data loss.
The patch also makes "tuning and [quality-of-life] improvements", though the team stops short of pointing out exactly what those are.
Here are the patch notes in full.
Save System
- Implemented save system stability measures to remove the occurrence of save loss or rollback related to the screenshot system
Performance
- Tuning and QOL improvements
The patch is about 2.3 GB. Here's hoping it goes some way to solving those save problems people have been seeing.
