LEGO Batman Will Build the Hype with an Appearance at the Game Awards 1

The Game Awards is fast approaching, and as expected, we're now beginning to learn about a handful of games that'll be present during the show.

One of those is now confirmed to be LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, as announced via the game's social channels:

It's not known exactly what will be shown during Geoff Keighley's awards ceremony/E3 press conference, but we can certainly hazard a guess.

Presumably, the game will debut a new trailer, perhaps some fresh gameplay from a section we've not yet seen, and we reckon a release date isn't out of the question either.

The open world action title is currently slated for 2026, and The Game Awards feels like the perfect place to tighten that up with a proper date.

Announced at Gamescom earlier this year, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a fresh take from longtime LEGO developer TT Games. Taking inspiration from all eras of the superhero's history across comics, films, games, and more, it's an open world action adventure that aims to celebrate all sides of the caped crusader.

In essence, it looks a heck of a lot like the Batman: Arkham games; footage shared so far shows a very similar approach to stealth, combat, and traversal. A LEGO version of Rocksteady's fantastic series sounds ideal.
