LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has released a fun new trailer, showing off multiple heroes and villains featuring in the action adventure.
Alongside the new gameplay, the trailer also clues us in on the release date; the game swoops in on 29th May, 2026:
As well as Batman himself, this LEGO title keeps up the tradition of numerous playable characters, with the likes of Catwoman, Batgirl, and Robin seemingly joining the fun.
Several villains also make an appearance; Joker, Two Face, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy are all confirmed.

Day one buy just for the Batman and Robin appreciation
Looks fun. I never played any of the Lego games but I enjoyed a couple of the Lego movies including the Batman one.
What is the story of this game. There are so many mix and match story beat from the entire media history of Batman…. Lol. Could this be the ultimate Batman that combines everything into one character. Batman to rule them all?
Been a little burnt out of Lego games after years of playing them but honestly, if this plays as expected, this might be personal GOTY for me. Also great timing considering Absolute Batman has increased current love for Batman.
This one looks pretty fun
Day one for sure.
Wonder what physical editions they’ll do
@AverageGamer
Think it’s a mix of different universes of Batman.
From the first trailer showed stuff for The Dark Trilogy and had a reference to The Batman.
There’s four islands in total so maybe four different ones.
Not sure if the Arkham Trilogy will have a story or if it’s just a dlc pack and the combat plays like the Arkham games.
Batman the Animated Series/ Batman Beyond could be a good story for them to do but possibly just be dlc packs for those
@Carnage
My personal favourite Lego games
Bionicle
Bionicle Herors
LOTR
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Hobbit
Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga
Lego Star Wars 3
Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga
Jurassic World
@Dragoon1994 The joker scene in the Hero and Villain trailer is basically a reference to opening scene of Arkham Asylum.
@AverageGamer
Yeah but could only be a reference though, doesn’t mean we’ll get a full Arkham trilogy story
