Out just next week on PS5, Sacred 2 Remastered is bringing back what some would dare to call a bit of a cult classic action RPG.
You may remember the original PS3-era release, which was received fairly well at the time. It featured a two-sided narrative allowing you to choose between good and evil campaigns, and a decent roster of playable characters.
In short, it's the kind of oft-forgotten RPG that you'd probably expect THQ Nordic to bring back from the dead — much like it did with Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

But this imminent remaster is apparently "just the beginning". In a new video that provides some insight into how this project came about, Sacred co-creator Franz Stradal hints towards a new future for the series.
"Sacred is back, but it's not the end — it's just the beginning," he teases.
"We have so much more things we have planned for Ancaria's future, and there's still so many stories to tell — and we will tell them. So stay tuned, and wait on what's coming."
Honestly, it'll be very interesting to see what Stradal and his team are cooking, but as alluded, it's been quite some time since Sacred meant anything as property.
Here's hoping that the Sacred 2 Remaster does the original game justice. Will you be picking this one up? Have you played Sacred 2 before? Embark on your quest into the comments section below.
