This Cyberpunk-Style PS5, PS4 Combat Racer Looks Remarkable 1

What do you get if you pair Cyberpunk 2077 with Need for Speed, then add a pinch of Twisted Metal or Split/Second for seasoning?

Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights may not be getting as much attention as it deserves, but it looks absolutely outstanding.

An arcade racer set in slick Blade Runner-inspired neon streets, this tantalising title is about more than drifting, as your vehicles will be armed up to the exhaust pipe with explosives and artillery.

Here’s how developer Gunpowder Games describes it all:

“Welcome to Cyber Clutch, a high stakes racing competition set in a neon soaked future. This is arcade racing with an edge. Fast, aggressive, and loaded with abilities that can flip the race in an instant. Drift through city streets, weave past collapsing traffic, and outplay rivals in a world where speed alone will not be enough.”

The release features a single player campaign called Grand Circuit which will help you get to grips with the gameplay, but online is where the longevity will come from.

In the multiplayer suite, you’ll find everything from Quick Races to Ranked Races and even lobbies for your friends, where you’ll be able to explore all of the circuits. According to the developer, every race course requires a different strategy, with every one purposely designed to create as much chaos as possible.

There are also a variety of different cars, spanning light, medium, and heavy archetypes, tuned differently to suit each play style.

The game’s actually out now on PC, but is coming to PS5 next week. Early impressions seem relatively positive on Steam, but with such a massive emphasis on multiplayer, we’re probably going to need to see how the servers hold before we can give this our whole-hearted recommendation.

Looks promising, though, doesn’t it?
