System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster was originally planned for release in late June on PS5 and PS4, but received a last-minute delay for consoles.
Fortunately, it hasn't taken too long for a new release date to arrive, and the game is pretty close.
The remaster makes its way to Sony's consoles on 10th July, 2025.
Here's a trailer that shows what to expect (just ignore the release date at the end):
This project comes from remaster specialist Nightdive Studios, bringing back the classic sci-fi horror game in a faithful way.
Also including co-op multiplayer, System Shock 2's remaster will offer up to 120 frames-per-second performance, visual and quality-of-life improvements, and "optimised" controller support.
The PC version has been getting great reviews, which bodes well for the game's arrival on PS5 and PS4 in a matter of days.

Looking forward to play it again, count me in.
Very fond memories of this game, I'll be getting it.
Though co-op multiplayer? More features are always welcome but the story doesn't seem that suited to it from my memory. It was all about being alone in space.
Looking forward to playing this after running thru Deus Ex again last month, but I hope it doesn’t have coop multiplayer trophies that might be a deal breaker for me.
Hopefully this one will have gyro controls, that's 2 fps's this month with no gyro inclusion (i am your beast and anger foot) drives me mad, why is it so hard to implement, steam does it on a system level, why can't Sony!
@wilky2988 I looked at the Achievements for Steam and it looked like there isn't any (maybe 1 for starting Co-Op but that's it if I'm even remembering that correctly)
Was annoyed when this got delayed but thankfully it gave me that push to FINALLY play the System Shock Remake this week, nearly done now (will be before this weekend definitely) and it's been so damn good. Can't wait for this as I've played System Shock 2 and it's AMAZING 😁
Not too bad then.
