Alongside the big Nintendo Direct closer Octopath Traveler 0, Square Enix also confirmed The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. This is its own RPG despite the similarities with the Octopath Traveler series and the fact it's from the same studio. It's now been confirmed to be launching for PS5, and will come out in 2026.
You can catch the announcement trailer above, and if you own a Nintendo Switch 2, there's actually a demo for the title live now on the eShop showcasing its exploration and battle mechanics.

"In a corner of a continent overrun with beast tribes, the Kingdom of Huther is humanity’s sole bastion, kept safe by a magic barrier," a press release reveals. "After the discovery of heretofore unknown ruins, the adventurer Elliot and his fairy sidekick Faie brave the dangers outside the kingdom on a journey spanning not only the continent, but its thousand-year history."

I'm glad it's not yet another turn based game in that engine, not that I'm against such games (some of my favourites are turn based jrpg's) but they are starting to blend into one another because of that art style, which offers little flexibility in presentation.
That out of the way, I was a big fan of the likes of Secret of Mana/Evermore on the SNES and this seems to sit between those and Zelda from the limited time I've put into the demo, so this is very much on my watch list
They really continue to flood the market with these things
It should be illegal to call your fantasy world "Philabieldia". That's abysmal even by Square Enix standards.
Looks interesting, but need to see more
@ShogunRok I literally laughed out loud when I heard that in the stream. Even Orc City has a better ring to it.
Really like the look of this and agree with @carlos82 in that I’m happy it’s not another turn based rpg.
Hopefully you can shut off the voice of that fairy. What's with jrpgs always having annoyingly squeaky voices?
I hope this demo comes to Playstation as I'd like to try this out first. Not sure why the Trailer made this seem like far more of a Kid-targeted game. It's seemed almost silly at times. But I'm interested.
This looks really cool, I like that kind of game!!
I got some Zelda vibe from the combat, this is going on my wishlist for sure! I liked Octopath Traveler.
As an Eliot I'm all in on this one 😆😆😆

The narrator here is jarring to me, for some reason
@ShogunRok maybe one of the producers got wasted and tried to say Philadelphia.
Between PS5 and Switch/Switch 2 I have had so much to play.
this looks... terrible? the action is far too slow for an action rpg. i'll stick to octopath's turn-based battle system.
This looks...okay. Feels like they tried to do the classic Ys or Secret of Mana but with 2.5 HD graphic. The protag doesn't looks interesting though...
I’m a life-long JRPG fan, but this just looks dull. Dull with terrible names. But I’ll wait for more information and reviews, Octopath 2 didn’t look great in its promotion but had a lot more depth than appeared
Flip - Flip - Flipadelphia!
