More Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 Port Evidence Emerges 1

Rockstar has been busy with its support pages this week.

You may have already read our story on GTA 4, where, for a short time, PS4 was listed as a platform for the dreary open world adventure.

Now it’s emerged that there was an “online migration” tab added to Red Dead Redemption 2’s support page. While it’s since been removed, it’s raised hopes of a PS5 port for the Western outing being imminent.

Obviously, if Rockstar plans to offer some kind of “online migration” utility, then it implies you’ll be moving your progress from one console to another, much like with GTA 5. But as Red Dead Redemption 2 is only available on the PS4 right now, it suggests a PS5 version could be incoming.

Of course, more likely is that this was just an error – although this story isn’t an isolated incident.

There have been rumours for ages that Rockstar is readying a current-gen version of Arthur Morgan’s escapade, and the game’s cast set tongues wagging earlier this year when it teased exciting news. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a reunion panel.

Recently, the developer added several new missions to Red Dead Online, years after it said it would no longer update the mode. All of this movement around the game does appear to suggest something may be afoot.

Much like with GTA 4, though, if the label does intend to put out a re-release this year, we’d expect it to be announced imminently.
