Frontier has released the latest free game update for its park-building sim Planet Coaster 2, and it's available to download and install now on PS5.
Various post-launch updates have brought all kinds of new features and improvements to the game, and this newest one includes some really neat stuff to flesh out your theme parks even more.
Here's the trailer breaking down the highlights:
A major new feature introduced in this update is gift/souvenir shops. They're modular by design, allowing you to really customise how they look and what gets stocked.
On top of that is another big feature: on-ride photographs. You'll now be able to set up cameras on your rides to take snapshots of guests at the perfect moment. The better the photos, the more likely they are to purchase them. You can place photo kiosks in your newly placed gift shops (or wherever you want).
Pirate and Fairytale themes make their return from the first game in this update, too. You'll be able to kit out sections of your amusement parks with all sorts of items within these themes.
The update also adds a pair of de-themed rides for you to customise, and the Coriolis flat ride returns from the first game as well.
Finally, audio updates mean you can now adjust the volume coming from park speakers, and you can enable them to play specific playlists, allowing you to fully customise which soundtracks come from which speakers.
All of that and a bunch of fixes and improvements make this a pretty hefty update to the game. Here's the full patch notes, if you're interested.
