Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds' all-important Title Update 2 will drop within the next few weeks.
Players have been waiting on this one for a while. Although the Akuma-infused patch did spice Wilds up for a few days when it arrived in May, the so-called Title Updates have always been the lifeblood of the series' ongoing support.
Title Update 2 is promising the return of fan-favourite beast Lagiacrus, the introduction of layered weapons (finally!), various balance adjustments, and a fresh wave of more powerful monsters. Even the game's user interface is getting some love, with the developer having previously touched on menu improvements.

I’m fresh into Monster Hunter Wilds and this is the first time playing a Monster Hunter game when it is still receiving regular updates. Makes it more fun.
On the Layered Weapon thing. I had to Google it. It would be nice if there was a globally recognised word for it, like ‘Transmog’ or something. Because each game seems to have a different phrase. It’s a good addition though.
I was pretty happy with the at-long-last appropriate difficulty for 8-star Tempered Gore Magala; hopefully the rebalancing in TU2 continues in that direction. Also happy with the quick timing on this next update.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing through MHW on PS5 Pro. My experience was limited to single player, going through the main scenario and all of the low rank optional quests.
Right as I finished the main scenario, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition landed on Switch and I never made it back to MHW.
Someday I’ll return and maybe even try multiplayer.

I've been waiting for the layered weapons. Really like to change the appearance of my GS so it's not just the artian look all the time.
I used to really love the MH series, but it feels like the magic of the grind has been removed. I fell off MHW really quickly as did a lot of my friends so idk how I feel about this update. The hunts being so easy really gives me no reason to hop back in other than to see the monster in action one time. I don’t wana be a total negative Nancy though so let me just say Rise is phenomenal & the wirebug is the greatest feature the series ever included lol
I will come back when Capcom releases all updates
I still need to carry on with MH Wilds.
Think I’ll hop on it tomorrow or over the weekend.
