World's End Club, one of the games Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka made after leaving Spike Chunsoft, is on its way to PS5, as revealed by a PS Store wishlist page. The port itself hasn't been confirmed by IzanagiGames just yet, but with the title already live on the digital storefront, it's assured this is happening.
A more lighthearted take on the visual novel genre, World's End Club matches platforming with its storytelling to tell the tale of an afterschool kids group trapped in a "Game of Fate", after a meteor hits the Earth. You could wishlist the game through the link.
Upon its original launch on Nintendo Switch, the game managed an overall score of 62 on Metacritic, with our sister site Nintendo Life awarding it a rather disappointing 5/10. "World’s End Club has some good ideas and a lot of heart, but it ultimately doesn’t come together as anything particularly notable," the outlet concluded. "Though World’s End Club looks and sounds great, the monotonous platforming sections and hit-and-miss storytelling really drag the overall experience down."

Are you actually kidding me? Not a port for The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy the game that's actually good and well recieved...
But World's End Club instead?! What cursed timeline is this?!
Would be cool to maybe add " " to game-titles in the headlines. Sometimes I almost get a stroke trying to read these.
Nice, another game just like Master Detective that I bought on Switch (this one at a BIG Discount tbf) that I never got around to playing cause I'd rather play it on PlayStation and get Trophies 😅 Well guess I'll be double dipping again.
This is why I'm definitely not buying Hundred Line on my Switch (Switch 2) cause I can totally see this happening again.
@HallowMoonshadow I completely misread this article and thought this is what we were getting.
By the end of the article, I was just sad.
I’ve played this, and it’s not terrible. It’s basically an uchikoshi-lite. The main twist is pretty cool, and would have been so good in a much better game, but it is what it is. The gameplay sections are all rather dull, unfortunately.
Played a bit of this on iOS via Apple Arcade. It seemed enjoyable enough but never got around to finishing it wasn’t quite able to get its hooks in me.
@HallowMoonshadow FR. No one wants this game then theyll be like no one wants the games on PS.
I played this on Apple Arcade when it launched and it really was not very good at all. Like an idea that became a game but never really felt fully fleshed out.
Disappointing to hear this game didn't come together; maybe I check it out if it ever hits Plus!
@SeaDaVie So what would your score be?
Do we have to support this just to get the better game: the hundred line? 😩
I'm kinda interested in this one.
@get2sammyb Why?
I hate this era of very late ports. I always wait years for games like this to get cheap, then they get ported to a platform I’d rather play it on right after I buy it 😭
I have the Switch version and have enjoyed what I've played so far. Might check it out on PS5. Guess I just have a soft spot for games that get bashed by reviewers!
Cool. I may look out for it and see how the PlayStation version is like the last ones did.
I have been watching prices on Switch (month or so ago it was discounted but didn't go for it) and I may consider them but not sure if physical or digital. I got Master Archives physical but haven't started it yet past launching the cartridge and the first room. I will get around to it. These look good but i have to be in the mood for them.
I remember hearing this year ago i put this on my wishlist because looks gorgeous
